Multiparameter Bluetooth® Portable pH/EC/OPDO® Meter

HI98494 is a waterproof portable logging multiparameter meter that monitors up to 12 different water quality parameters including 6 measured and 6 calculated.  The microprocessor based multi-sensor probe allows for the measurement of key parameters including pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and temperature. The probe transmits readings digitally to the meter, where data points can be displayed and logged. Data logged in the meter can be transferred by Bluetooth® to a smart device with the Hanna Lab App installed. The HI98494 is supplied with all necessary accessories and packaged in a durable carrying case.

Designed to withstand environmental conditions, and ideal for field measurements. The HI98494 instruments is a waterproof combination of a portable, rugged meter with a digital probe. The probe can be manually lowered and raised by the cable, due to its superior strength.  The digital probe is suitable for confined locations (air vaults, river intakes, vertical wells) and tanks. It can be used in open moving water locations, such as rivers, streams, ditches (farmland drainage) and conveyance canals as well as lakes, dams, ponds, wetland basins, infiltration basins and bays.

Dual Power Source

The meter operates on a built-in lithium-ion battery and will automatically switch to AA alkaline batteries for at least 200 hours of testing.

GLP Data

For better traceability, calibration information is recorded along with a time and date stamp and stored with logged data.


Quick Calibration provides a speedy, single point calibration for pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen. Standard calibration options are also available.
