The HI98161 is a rugged, waterproof, portable pH meter that measures pH and temperature using the specialized FC2023 Foodcare pH electrode. This professional, waterproof meter complies with IP67 standards. The HI98161 is supplied with all necessary accessories to perform a pH/temperature measurement packaged into a durable thermoformed carrying case that holds the meters, probes and calibration buffers securely in place.
The FC2023 is the ideal electrode to measure the pH of milk, yogurt, meats, cheeses, fruit, sushi, rice, jams, jellies, dough, ice cream, yogurt, beverages, and juice.
Made from low-temperature glass, the conical shaped tip facilitates penetration of solids, semi-solids, and emulsions to directly measure pH in food products including meat, cheese, yogurt, and milk.
The open junction uses a solid gel interface (viscolene) between the sample and the internal Ag/AgCl reference, preventing silver from entering the sample, preventing clogging for a fast, stable reading.
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a food grade plastic that is resistant to most chemicals and solvents, as well as abrasion, fungal growth, and ultraviolet and nuclear radiation.

Calibration
pH calibration features detailed CAL Check™ messages. Users are guided through the calibration procedure with step-by-step on-screen instructions.
GLP
Comprehensive GLP functions are directly accessible by pressing the GLP key. Calibration data, including date, time, offset, slope, and buffers used in the last calibration can be reviewed.
